New London Borough of Sutton Domestic Abuse Support Service Tender Win

19th May 2017

The latest tender win for Core Assets Children’s Services will see our teams delivering a new specialist domestic abuse support service for children and young people in the London Borough of Sutton.

In the two-year contract, our expert staff will deliver a group-based programme for children and non-abusive parents who are, or have been, victims of domestic abuse or who have witnessed domestic abuse, to share their stories and experiences.

The aim is to provide the space and opportunity for participants to develop their understanding of domestic abuse and how they can stay safe, building their self-esteem and managing feelings and behaviour.

The tender win follows our successful delivery of similar programmes, such as our Halton Domestic Abuse Service, where 100% of young people reported feeling safer after our intervention, and our Redcar and Cleveland Domestic Abuse Service, where 92% of young people agreed that their keyworker had help them to make positive changes.

We already provide a Family Therapy Service in the London Borough of Sutton, where 90% of young people have remained living with their families.
